Bangalore’s Shame : 3 Minors Raped

Three minor girls were allegedly raped in separate incidents in Bangalore. In all the incidents that were reported on Tuesday, the accused lured the girls with toffees.

An eight-year-girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified man on Modi Road near Devarajeenanahalli on Monday night.

The  victim, Asima (name changed), a resident of Shivajinagar had gone with her grandmother and uncle to a relative’s house at DJ Halli for a post-funeral ritual.

According to the police, the incident took place around 10 pm when she was playing alone near Hussain mosque. An unidentified man, who lured the girl with toffees, allegedly raped her in an isolated place. Later, he brought her back and escaped.

On Tuesday morning, her grandmother, who noticed Asima’s disturbed sleep the previous night, took her to a nursing home, where doctors informed her that Asima had been sexually harassed.

Her family then filed a complaint. Asima was admitted to Ambedkar Hospital and was later shifted to M S Ramaiah Hospital.

The D J Halli police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.

In another incident, a 17-year-old hearing-impaired and mute girl, was allegedly raped by her neighbour on Monday evening at  Maachohalli near Nelamangala.
